What to do before
and after your visit

At Body Love, Body Contouring, the client always comes first. Whether you’re looking for a quick fix or a more comprehensive approach to beauty, our team’s priority is focused on exceeding expectations in order to make you feel your best from the inside, out. Throughout this page we will discuss what to do before and after your visit and how to optimise results.

Before your visit

Ultrasound aims to improve the appearance of stubborn fat and problem areas. For maximum results, and for long term overall health, it's important to combine your Ultrasound Body Contouring treatment with home care and after care that supports your body.

It is recommended that a low carbohydrate, low sugar diet assists the process of excreting waste from the body, as well as keeping hydrated, 1.5L within 2 hours before treatment, and a minimum of 3L per day, 3 days beforehand. 

​

It is also recommended that you exfoliate your body using a body brush to either wet or dry brush, as well as using an exfoliating product and moisturising to keep the hydrated smooth and hydrated – the perfect canvas for work to begin.

​If you do not have these products at home, do not fear, we have the Alchemist Lab products in-stock, as well as the eco-max body brushes, to make it just a little easier.

After your visit

The body requires 72 hours to eliminate toxins after a treatment therefore treatments can only be provided every 3 days; however we suggest 1 week apart to allow the body more time to fully detox. On average, most clients require 6 - 10 treatments to achieve best possible results. Your clinician will be the best person to provide you with a realistic plan.

To ensure your body responds well to Ultrasound, at least 2 liters of water (in winter) and 3 liters of water (in summer) should be consumed over a 24-hour period prior to the treatment. It is essential to stagger water consumption over this period to ensure your body is well hydrated.

It is recommended that you continue a low carbohydrate, low sugar diet as well as keeping hydrated, 1.5L within 2 hours after treatment, and a minimum of 3L per day, 3 days after. It is also recommended that you exert a sweat 20-30minutes after treatment. We have an infrared sauna on-site which has so many benefits in itself such as weight loss, better sleep, recovery and assists with reducing inflammation and pain.
